Terry L. Moore, CEO/President

Mr. Moore is one of the most experienced executives in the plasma applications industry with over twenty years of experience, including seventeen years at the CEO level. Mr. Moore created the first company, Plasma Processing Corporation, to successfully utilize plasma energy to extract aluminum from industrial aluminum waste streams. He also holds two patents for the use of plasma in industrial processes.

As CEO/President of Plasma Equipment Company, 2000 to 2006, he pursued international opportunities for this startup high temperature thermal plasma technology and plasma equipment company. After numerous marketing presentations to key customers in Japan, he negotiated the buyout of the equipment manufacturing portion of the company to a major competitor while continuing the consulting arm of the business in plasma.

AS CEO/President of Plasma Processing Corporation (PPC), 1990 to 1996, he held full P&L responsibility for this $20M aluminum recycler and high temperature refractory producer. PPC was the first company in the world to utilize plasma energy in extracting aluminum from waste aluminum streams. Mr. Moore started and grew the production plant, bringing $20M in annual revenues to Plasma Processing Corporation. When the company needed to capitalize on newly developed process patents, he negotiated a technology licensing agreement with the world’s largest aluminum company and secured funding to build a plasma based plant. He obtained contracts with key aluminum producers and successfully ran operations at a profit, while processing materials from a majority of the aluminum plants in North America. Mr. Moore also negotiated a three-party joint venture with the world’s second largest aluminum producer and the U.S.’s oldest refractory company to build an advanced ceramic manufacturing facility. The company converted waste byproducts from the aluminum industry into marketable ceramics and had no material from either of its plants go into a landfill. After selling the company in 1996, he continued as an advisor to the buyer until 2000.

As Vice President, Marketing, Plasma Energy Corporation (PEC), 1985 to 1990, he was selected to turn around Plasma Energy Corporation and helped transform a struggling technology company into the industry leader in the high temperature thermal plasma market. This was achieved by restructuring company objectives. He led contract negotiations, developed joint venture technology agreements and established PEC as an international presence through foreign distribution agreements. As VP Marketing at Plasma Energy Corporation, he drove revenues from $1 million to $20 million before leaving to start PPC.
