What if landfills were a thing of the past?
What is the problem?
Across the United States and around the world there is growing concern for the global environment. In the U.S., each person generates 4.5 pounds of municipal solid waste per day. We each have a responsibility to maintain a clean and healthy planet, to take the necessary steps to conserve limited resources, to reduce the amount of waste we produce, to recycle as much as possible, to limit greenhouse gas emissions, and to employ smart resource recovery solutions. Landfills are major contributors to these problems.
What makes PWR special?
Plasma Waste Recycling is on the leading edge of clean and efficient conversion technology to recover resources and generate electricity. PWR’s patent-pending process is a more efficient, more reliable, and less capital intensive method to convert municipal solid waste (MSW) to energy and recycled materials.
The PWR process uses high-temperature thermal plasma to convert MSW to syngas, molten metal and vitreous slag. Because there is total recycling and no ash residue, landfills could become a thing of the past. |
